At Will Hall Online we always try to commit some time to developing open source projects. As I am sure that you are aware, we have been using Drupal since 2008 and absolutely love both the software and the community, however, much of our time is already committed and we do more in deed than in code to contribute to the community (providing assistance, presentations and helping the local Drupal group). However, in some recent downtime, I had a chance to get more involved in module maintainership for the Sheetnode module, which is a great way to use and create spreadsheets on Drupal.

Like any digital business, we’ve got a lot of online acccounts. And all of these online accounts have a password. Sometimes each member of our team has an account. And sometimes we need to share passwords securely between team mambers to share an account. That’s a lot of usernames and passwords. In fact we don’t even know how many we have.
Luckily, we don’t need to. That’s what password managers such as LastPass and OnePassword were invented for. If you aren’t using one, you probably should be, although there is an argument that you’re putting rather a lot of faith in their software. We’re of the opinion, however, that their security is likely to be better than ours, and that using a password manager to create different and secure passwords for all of our accounts is better than using similar passwords to enable us to remember them.

We’re excited to announce that our Shoprocket Drupal project has been accepted by the community. The module allows the easy integration of the Shoprocket ecommerce system with Drupal, making it a matter of minutes to get your online shop up and running. The Drupal project page is at https://www.drupal.org/project/shoprocket.
Shoprocket (https://shoprocket.co) is an exciting new venture which uses a lightweight javascript library to easily create a flexible, simple ecommerce system. It takes literally minutes to set up, depending on the size of your product range, but it’s also flexible and robust. We can’t wait to use it in upcoming projects, and we think it really expands our offering. It looks beautiful without a great deal of extra styling, though it’s easy to change the look if required, and it provides a fast and minimalist checkout process for a great user experience.
